Al-Burhan Congratulates Erdogan on Democracy and National Unity Day

Head of the Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan, sent a congratulatory cable to His Excellency President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the sisterly Republic of Turkey, on the occasion of Democracy and National Unity Day.

In the cable, Al-Burhan expressed his sincere congratulations and best wishes to President Erdoğan for health and happiness, and to the brotherly Turkish people for progress and prosperity, on the occasion of Democracy and National Unity Day, on which the Turkish people have set immortal positions in defending their free will and democratic choice.

Al-Burhan emphasized that this historic occasion embodies an inspiring model of cohesion between the leadership and the people, and affirms to the entire world that the will of the people is invincible, and that homelands are protected by the unity of their people and their awareness of the dangers of conspiracies against stability and security.

Head of the Sovereignty Council noted the depth and strength of the long-standing relations between the two countries, expressing Sudan’s aspiration to strengthen bilateral cooperation to serve the interests and aspirations of the two brotherly peoples for security, development, and prosperity.
