Editorial: It is time for the international community to break out of its suspicious silence

Last week the RSF militia targeted a humanitarian convoy of the World Food Program a matter that confirms the criminal and bloody nature of those thugs by targeting a humanitarian convoy affiliated with the World Food Program in Al-Kuma, North Darfur, in a treacherous attack added to its track record of crimes against humanity.
The convoy, which was carrying urgent food and pharmaceutical aid, to save the civilians trapped by hunger and disease, was targeted without any consideration for the sanctity of humanitarian work or international conventions criminalizing exposure to relief workers.
This heinous crime expresses only a disappointing mindset, which crossed all red lines, and disregarded international law.
The RSF militia, since the outbreak of its rebellion, has been practicing the dirtiest methods of war: looting, burning, rape, and intimidation, and now it has reached the point of insolence to attack humanitarian convoys that came to extricate the innocents from the scourge.
We hold the leaders of this gang directly responsible for this heinous act, and we call on the international community to break out of its suspicious silence, and to leave the box of verbal convictions to the square of action and accountability.
Sudan will not kneel to a militia that feeds on the blood of innocents, nor will it be held hostage to the hands of hired traitors who have mortgaged themselves to suspicious foreign agendas.
Those who think that these actions will pass unpunished should be reviewed well by history. The humanitarian convoy in the Al-Kuma was not carrying a weapon, it was carrying bread and hope… but the crime militia chose to assassinate both.
