The Federal Ministry of Health, in cooperation with the World Health Organization, has completed the preparation of the multi-hazard plan for 2025.
In a press statement following the conclusion of the workshop to prepare the multi-hazard plan for 2025, Dr. Babiker Al-Maqbool, an epidemiologist and advisor to the General Administration of Health Emergencies and Epidemic Control at the Ministry, described the preparation of the plan as a major and comprehensive step. It draws on the experiences of the past two years, identifying potential risks, and developing appropriate plans for them based on the priorities, magnitude, and impact of each threat. He noted the support of the World Health Organization.
Al-Maqbool noted the participation of nine of the ten targeted states, including the three eastern states, the central state, and the northern state, while Khartoum was absent due to its preoccupation with the situation following the liberation.
Al-Maqbool expressed his hope that the plan would be a valuable safeguard and support for health work for the remainder of 2025.
