Online scammer: Watch out

Nowadays you’re more likely to fall for scams than to fall in love. Well if you think this is just an
exaggeration well think again. scams are getting more sophisticated and so are scammers.
They are always one step ahead trying to find clever ways to scam us. But we all know that we
shouldn’t share our personal details right? but are we being careful about everything we’re give out? I’ve learned things the hard way. It taught me the golden rule of online safety. Don’t trust
anything. In fact the most convincing scams play on our emotions. Whether it’s a desperate plea from a “relative” or a deal too good to be true. I’ve always learned to question everything, to stop and verify. It’s not paranoid to double-check. One thing to understand is that scammers know
everything about you. So don’t underestimate what they might know or have about you. A
scammer can also be a friend or a relative. No legitimate business or bank asks for your credit
card details on the phone. If they need it you go and visit them at their main branch personally.
Also use 2 factor authentication methods. Scammers also demand urgent money requests so watch out for odd grammar, misspellings and pressured tone.
