Khartoum Governor: Customs Forces are the first line of defense to secure borders and prevent smuggling

Khartoum Governor, Ahmed Osman Hamza, praised the great role played by the Customs Forces in protecting the national economy, stressing that they represent the first line of defense in securing borders and preventing smuggling, which enhances economic stability and supports the state’s resources. The Governor of Khartoum appreciated the efforts of the Customs Police in controlling customs violations and combating smuggling in all its forms, and supporting the armed forces in the Battle of Dignity, which achieved victory after victory in all combat axes.
This came during his meeting today with the Director General of Customs Police, Lieutenant General Salah Ahmed Ibrahim and his assistants.
During the meeting, the Governor reviewed the measures and steps taken by the state to address the effects of the war, including removing waste, opening roads, and restoring water and electricity services, which contributed to the return of life to normal.
For his part, the Director of Customs Police, Lieutenant General Salah Ahmed Ibrahim, confirmed the Customs’ support for Khartoum State’s plans aimed at reconstruction and providing a safe and attractive environment for the return of commercial and industrial activities.
He also expressed his readiness and cooperation with the Khartoum State government authorities in providing all customs facilities, especially with regard to service facilities such as water, environmental sanitation projects and other services of interest to citizens, adding that the visit aims to stand in the field on the impact of the war on the state and to discuss ways of reconstruction and restoring civil life.
