Mustafa Tambour swears in as Central Darfur Governor

Commader Mustafa Tambour sworn-in, today, as Central Darfur State Governor.
The oath was taken before the Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant-General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan, the Secretary-General of the Sovereignty Council, Lt. Gen. Mohamed El Ghaly Ali Youssef, and the representative of the Chief Justice, Abdel Moneim Ismail.

In a press statement after taking the oath, the Governor of Central Darfur State expressed his thanks to the Head of the Sovereignty Council for the confidence he placed in him, for assuming this position in light of the challenges facing the country and the conspiracies behind it by regional and international circles to strike and dismantle Sudan, its national cohesion and division, Tambour said, “We must assume this responsibility to preserve the sovereignty, unity and stability of Sudan, noting that the state of Central Darfur is in difficult conditions, praising the sacrifices of the citizens who were subjected to the most heinous violations and practices carried out by the militia, which implements plans aimed at dividing and destroying Sudan and exploiting its resources and wealth.
He pledged to work tirelessly in reconstructing what was destroyed by the terrorist militia, and to work to support and strengthen community reconciliations among all components, and to benefit from the energies of youth to support the desired peace and development process in the state.
He congratulated the Sudanese people for the great victories achieved by the armed forces in all axes and fronts to eliminate the terrorist militia.
