Khartoum Governor expresses appreciation to all parties that supported citizens by establishing charitable feeding sites

Khartoum Governor,
Ahmed Osman Hamza, expressed his appreciation to all parties that supported the steadfast citizens during the war period by establishing and supporting feeding sites which provide food to the citizens.
The Governor specifically mentioned the charitable feeding project under the auspices of the Assistant to the Head of Transitional a, member of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Yasser Al-Atta, and with the support of their President of the Sudanese Al-Merreikh Club, Engineer Omar Al-Nimir.
The Governor praised the Al-Nimir charity feeding project, whose umbrella is constantly expanding until their number reached 15 sites.
Al-Nimir charitable project targets citizens who did not leave their homes and remained present in the localities of Karari and Omdurman, in addition to those coming from the states affected by the war and settled in the old neighborhoods of Omdurman.
The project has become internationally famous, as the Secretary-General of the United Nations spoke about it earlier, saying that it did a great job in feeding citizens during the war period.
Observers believe that the feeding sites (Takaya) , which began with initiatives from a limited number of individuals, have now exceeded hundreds in cohesion and solidarity, confirming the uniqueness of the Sudanese people. Meanwhile, large numbers of citizens who are accustomed to receiving the support of the Nimir Takayas on an ongoing basis have gathered in the localities of Karari, Omdurman and recently Khartoum North after they were cleansed of the rebel militia, in order to provide aid to the citizens who were suffering from the siege and starvation imposed on them by the militia, depriving them of the simplest necessities for survival.
