Khartoum and of West Darfur Governors emphasize the importance of bringing the Janjaweed to justice

Khartoum Governor, Ahmed Osman Hamza, received today the Governor of West Darfur State, Bahar al-Din Adam Karama, on a visit aimed at offering congratulations on the victories achieved by the forces participating in the Battle of Dignity in the various axes of Khartoum State.
The Governor of West Darfur indicated that the cause of the Sudanese people is a just cause and must find support and backing from governments and peace-loving peoples.
He said that the targeting of defenseless citizens by the militia is a clear and explicit violation against humanity.
He offered his condolences to the families of the martyrs of the victims of the Sabreen Market massacre and confirmed that the Janjaweed will not escape justice and that the liberation of Darfur and all of Sudan is imminent.
Khartoum State Governor, Ahmed Osman, provided an overview of the stages the state has gone through since the beginning of the war and the great openness thanks to the recent victories.
He said that the state government’s main concern is to provide assistance and shelter to those who came from the liberated areas and to expand basic services that support stability, which have greatly contributed to the voluntary return of citizens thanks to the efforts made to restore health, education, electricity and water services.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary-General of the State Government, Al-Hadi Abdel Sayed, Major General Security Al-Hassan Ali Mohammed Saleh, Director of the Khartoum State Security Authority, Al-Tayeb Saad El-Din Hassan, Director-General of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism, and Awad Hamid, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports.
