On a recent occasion, a significant meeting took place, bringing together notable leaders in the realm of public health and social welfare. The gathering featured Dr. Farouk Nour Al-Daim, the esteemed Director General of the National Health Insurance Fund, alongside his counterpart, the Director General of Social Insurance. This convening was marked by a palpable sense of optimism, as attendees expressed a shared commitment to expediting the completion of procedures associated with settling health insurance for pensioners, a process that has been pending since the year 2021.

In attendance was also the President of the Union of Social Insurance Pensioners and a valued member of the Board of Directors of the Fund, Mr. Yen Ahmed Haj Al-Hassan. The discussions led to a consensus to reinforce the operations of the joint clearing committee, which comprises representatives from both entities. Their objective is to thoroughly address all pending obligations, ensuring that essential services are readily available to health insurance cardholders. This collaboration seeks to effectively integrate the roles of both funds in a manner that fortifies social protection frameworks.

Moreover, the meeting underscored the importance of addressing the specific issues faced by social insurance pensioners residing in Khartoum State. It was unanimously agreed that efforts would persist in providing comprehensive health insurance services to social insurance pensioners across various states. This will be accomplished through the national card program, which will be executed in concert with the Health Insurance authorities to ensure seamless access to necessary healthcare services.
