Health Ministry Announces A national Vector Control Campaign in 12 States.

The Federal Ministry of Health, represented by the Vector Control Department, announced the implementation of the national campaign to combat disease vectors in 18 localities from 12 states from January 27 to February 26, supported by the Ministry of Finance at a cost of EGP 1 billion and 50 million.

The Director of Vector Control, Hamza Sami Al-Jack, said in a press statement that the national campaign to combat disease vectors is launched in the states of Kassala, Gedarif, Red Sea, Blue Nile, White Nile, Sennar, Al-Gezira, Khartoum,
Northern, the River Nile , North Kordofan, and North Darfur, stressing that it comes within the framework of responding to dengue fever epidemics, and the rise of malaria cases, through epidemiological surveillance reports, and entomological investigation reports for mosquitoes that transmit diseases.
