Al-Burhan participates in the Coptic community’s Christmas celebrations

Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, 1st. Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan, participated today in the Coptic community’s Christmas celebrations, at St. George’s Church in Al-Masalama neighborhood in Omdurman.
He was accompanied by the member of the Sovereignty Council, Assistant Commander-in-Chief, Lieutenant General Yasser Al-Atta, the Governor of Khartoum State, Ahmed Hamza, and the leaders of the regular forces.
Al-Burhan congratulated Christians and all believers around the world, praising their role as messengers of love and peace.
He pointed out that the Al-Masalma neighborhood is an integral part of Sudan’s history, as it formed, along with the rest of the Sudanese, a bright page in national history.
He stressed the importance of unity and solidarity to confront the challenges facing the country, saying: “We all share in removing this ordeal that has befallen the country.”
For his part, the Governor of Khartoum praised the cohesion of the people and the armed forces in confronting the rebellion, and congratulated the Christian community on the occasion of Christmas.
For his part, representative of the community, Father Youhanna, expressed his thanks to the attendees and affirmed the Coptic community’s support for the armed forces, wishing that peace and stability would prevail throughout Sudan.
