The Federal Emergency Operations Center Reviews the Health Situation in the Country.

In the first meeting of 2025, on Tuesday in the emergency hall of the Public Health Laboratory in Kassala State , the Federal Emergency Operations Center reviewed the health situation in the country due to cholera, dengue fever, malaria, and the interventions implemented by the various departments of the ministry.

The epidemiological situation report of cholera and dengue fever revealed that (21) new cases of cholera were recorded, without deaths, bringing the cumulative number of infections in (82) localities from (11) states to (50,679) infections, including (1,350) deaths. While (15) new cases of dengue fever were recorded without death, bringing the cumulative infections from (9) states to (9,402) infections, including (16) deaths.

The report on interventions to combat cholera noted the decline in incomes to isolation centers in the states affected by the disease, pointing to the continuation of interventions at the federal level, with a number of challenges.

The health promotion report referred to a number of interventions and activities, especially in the states most affected by cholera, as well as partnership with some organizations.
