Jaber inaugurates the final phase of Port Sudan Airport expansion

Member of the Sovereignty Council, Assistant Commander-in-Chief, Lieutenant General Engineer Ibrahim Jaber Ibrahim inaugurated yesterday the final phase of the rehabilitation and reconstruction process for the expansion of Port Sudan Airport.
Minister of Culture and Information and Government Spokesman, Mr. Khaled Al-Eiser, explained that the expansion carried out at Port Sudan Airport provides opportunities to increase the number of runways for international flights to reach twelve runways to facilitate the movement of citizens and goods.
He added that the project was carried out by an Indian consulting company specialized in airport expansion in a genuine partnership with the Engineering Ports Company affiliated with the Defense Industries System and the Sea Ports Authority.
Al-Eiser added that the expansion process is an important step. It is expected to be completed within a month, and then air traffic will begin for more than eighteen aircrafts.
