Signing a covenant and charter document between the Masalit and the Bargo Al-Salihab sign reconciliation agreement

The Masalit tribe, represented by honorable Saad Abdul Rahim Bahar Al-Din, and the Bargo Al-Salib tribe, represented by chieftian Ahmed Yaqoub Musa, signed a covenant and charter document between them, confirming the eternal relationship between the two sultanates, which dates back nearly 160 years and has extended to interconnectedness and intermarriage.
Honorable Ahmed Yaqoub Musa, chief of the Bargo Al-Salihab, said, “We pledge to ensure a happy life for our people in Sudan so that it does not collapse due to tribal strife, and we work to strengthen peace between us and them because there is family cohesion between the two sultanates.”
For his part, Chief f Masalit Saad Abdul Rahim Bahar al-Din said, the work of the document and the covenant is a matter related to our work as a civil administration, and all the outputs of the document are in the interest of Bargo in eastern Sudan, hoping that efforts will be coordinated among them in all areas and implemented whether in Geneina or Qala al-Nahl wherever they are found in all their administrations.
He added that they are coordinating to support the security and borders of Sudan, especially since it is going through unusual circumstances of war, pointing out that what happened from war, killing, violation, rape and assault on service institutions for the citizen leads us to support those who defend the borders of the homeland and support the battle of dignity.
He stressed that they are in the process of creating a strategic relationship for the distant future so that the sons inherit it so that it is continuous and strong, and that we become a model to be emulated by all other tribes and build Sudan with productivity and knowledge, adding
“We work to develop customs and legacies.”
A number of speakers blessed the step and said that there is a common denominator between us, and this document is for us to stand together to defeat the enemy and we must tighten our belts, and some pointed out that the document was delayed a lot, hoping that it would be implemented on the ground through a work program.
Signing the document comes as a covenant and a charter to preserve the covenant between them and to bind the social fabric, so that they work together to serve the people and to strengthen the bonds of friendship and to warn against hate speech and to contribute to the war of dignity.
