Kabbashi confirms the government’s keenness to establish peace and stop the suffering of the Sudanese people

Member of the Sovereignty Council, Deputy Commander-in-Chief, 1st. Lt. Gen. Shams El-Din Kabbashi confirmed the government’s keenness to establish peace, stop the suffering of the Sudanese people, and openness to all initiatives that would achieve security and stability, impose the sovereignty of the Sudanese state, and preserve the dignity of the Sudanese people.

His Excellency renewed, during his meeting in his office in Port Sudan today with the Swiss Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa, Ambassador Sylvain Estier, the Sudanese government’s keenness and commitment to work to deliver humanitarian aid to those who deserve it and facilitate the work of relief teams and employees of organizations working in the humanitarian field.

The meeting discussed the situation in Sudan, the current developments, and the efforts of the Sudanese government and its endeavor to facilitate the flow of humanitarian aid, especially opening various crossings and Sudanese airports to bring in humanitarian aid.

For his part, the Swiss envoy to the Horn of Africa said that the meeting addressed the overall humanitarian situation and the outcomes of the current conflict in Sudan, and how to end the war, in addition to the efforts made to deliver humanitarian aid to the country with the aim of alleviating the suffering of the Sudanese people.
