Al-Burhan and the Djiboutian President Envoy Discuss the Return of Sudan to IGAD

In a press statement, Foreign Minister Hussein said that the meeting touched on the relations of the two countries at their regional and international levels, indicating that the meeting also addressed the possibility of Sudan’s return to IGAD, indicating that Sudan’s relationship with Djibouti must be separated and its relationship with IGAD. . The Foreign Minister said that the Djiboutian president expressed in his letter the possibility of Sudan’s return to IGAD’s membership, stressing that the IGAD countries are capable of overcoming the difficulties.
The two presidents agreed that the issue would be subject to study.
For his part, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Djibouti explained that his country is closely following the outcome of the situation in Sudan, expressing his regret over the scourge of the Sudanese people, referring to the violations committed by the rebel forces against civilians. It has become clear that Sudan will return stronger in the near future and will also return to its regional position in IGAD, especially since Sudan is a founding member of this organization.
He said that the meeting with the Head of the Sovereign Council touched on the Sudanese Djiboutian relations, which are characterized by development and development.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Djibouti added that Sudan’s role is important and pivotal, noting that the Djiboutian president, as president of the IGAD, wanted to send a message to his brother, 1st.
