Second Turkish humanitarian aid ship arrives in Port Sudan

The government received the second Turkish ship (the Sudan ship) carrying humanitarian aid for those affected by war, floods and torrents in Sudan.
The Turkish grant was received at Port Sudan today by the Minister of Culture and Information, the Minister of Transport, the Governor of the Red Sea, the Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid, the Turkish Ambassador, the Director of Ports and number of officials.

Dr. Graham Abdel Qader, Minister of Culture and Information, confirmed in press statements the depth and strength of relations between Sudan and Turkey, indicating that the relations between the two countries are deep-rooted, listing the aspects of Turkish cooperation and support for Sudan.

Graham expressed Sudan’s appreciation for the Turkish efforts and its solid support for Sudan during the current war crisis and natural disasters, especially the torrents and rains that affected large sectors of citizens.

The Turkish Ambassador to Sudan, Fatih Yildiz, said that the Turkish grant contains 18,000 tents, blankets and quantities of shelter and public health materials, stressing Turkey’s continued provision of aid to those affected by war, floods and torrents in Sudan.

The ambassador pointed out that with this work, Turkey is returning the favor to Sudan, expressing Turkey’s gratitude for the Sudanese people’s support for Turkey in difficult times, referring to Sudan’s support for Turkey during the earthquake disaster that struck Turkey few years ago.
