GIS seizes counterfeit foreign currencies in Shendi

The General Intelligence Service (GIS) announced yesterday, Saturday, the seizure of forged foreign banknotes in Shendi.
Shendi security unit seized $100, $18,000 counterfeit banknotes. The accused were arrested and legal measures were taken.
A source in the Shendi Security Unit confirmed that the authorities concerned with economic security are able to deal with anyone who is tempted to tamper with the country’s economy and capabilities.
The GIS called on citizens and merchants to be careful in dealing with foreign currencies, and to inform the security services, if any information or doubts about this are available, in order to take the necessary measures in order to preserve the national economy from the threat of counterfeiting currencies.
