Agricultural Production

The cultivation of crops and rearing of animals for food, fiber, medicinal plants, and other products used to sustain and enhance human life usually refers to as agricultural production.

According to international statistics and as of 2021, Sudan had the largest agricultural land area in Africa, corresponding to around 113 million hectares. Following, South Africa and Nigeria with roughly 96.3 million and 68.6 million hectares of land under agricultural activities, respectively.

Our land is naturally fertilized that if you accidentally drop a seed in a living neighborhood, that seed will grow rapidly and naturally in a very short period of time. Not to mention cultivating specifically for production activities.

At this stage of the on going “history” of our land, we need to focus at the fast returns that will support the nourishment in the coming phase of the country. We need an active and immediate support to stop the actions of this war, and to start repairing the great agricultural facilities including the specialized universities and research centers, and also planning for massive agricultural activities that will reduce the famine threatening ahead the population and will secure brighter future for the country and the people.

The Sudan economy is in continued deterioration due to the war the country is facing for more than 1 year now, and the need for it to rise and nourish again depends on many important factors including the immediate ceasefire declaring the war ending, and developing rules and concepts that will help rising the economy again, among which agricultural activities are of such importance.

May God grant wisdom upon our leaders to end this war.
