Head of the TSC reviews the performance of the Zakat Office

Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council(TSC), Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, 1st. Lieutenant General Abull Fattah Al-Burhan, was briefed on the performance of the Zakat Office and what was accomplished during the past period.

This came when he received in his office yesterday the Secretary-General of the Zakat Office, Ahmed Ibrahim Abdullah, who said in a press statement that he listened to advice and guidance from the Head of the Sovereign Council that are in the interest of promoting and developing zakat work in the country, pointing out that he provided enlightenment during the meeting about the activities carried out by the Zakat Chamber during the month of Ramadan, including support for the Holy Quran teaching centers and shelter centers, in addition to support for the wounded of the armed forces and programs for mending the social fabric.

He said that Head of the Sovereignty Council praised the role played by the Chamber in supporting vulnerable groups, caring for orphans, and supporting needy families
