Q1: who is Ahmed Gummaa?
A1: My full name is Ahmed Gumaa Siddiek Mohammed.
Q2: May we Know about your place & date of birth?
A2: Iwas born in Tandalti, a small village west of Erahad Abu Dakna in North Kordofan, in January 1956. early years were spent happily with my grandmother and grandfather until the age of seven when I was reluctantly taken to school by my mother. I had a strong bond with animals, particularly -donkey, and enjoyed a simple life in the village.
Q3: Where did you study?
A3: I attended Asawani sub-grade school in Nawa village, and later the Erfahad Elementary school. In 1966, I joined Um Roba Amiriyal School and, in 1972, moved to Khartoum Commercial School, marking the beginning of a challenging life in the city. Subsequently, in 1978, I enrolled at the University of Khartoum, Faculty of Education, where starting journey with the English language.
After obtaining BA in 1982, I taught in Saudi Arabia for 19 years before returning to Sudan in 1999 to pursue higher education. In 2002, I earned a first MA in Translation and a second MA in Teaching English as a Second Language from Juba University. Then completed Ph.D. in applied linguistics in language assessment with (Excellent) from Omdurman University in
2004.
Q4 : Would you note about your Academic contributions in sudan?
A4:Throughout the academic career, I have been an active researcher and educator. Also, I taught courses in literature, linguistics,and translation.
as well as my work includes approximately 45 papers published in various countries, including the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Finland, India, and Sudan.
attended numerous conferences in Europe, America, and Canada, presenting papers at prestigious institutions such as Harvard and Purdue.
As the most cited English language author in Sudan, My contributions to academia have gained recognition globally.
Q5: What is favorite hobby?
A5: I have a diverse range of hobbies, including reading, traveling, watching movies, and writing poetry.
Notably, I have written songs related to the December 2018 revolution, reflecting my involvement as a political activist and a member of a leading political party in Sudan.

A6: Reflecting on the impact of war in Sudan, I expresse the devastating consequences on education, particularly in universities. The war has led to the departure of professors from the country, resulting in a significant loss of academic expertise. Students have also suffered, losing valuable time and facing disruptions to their education.

A8 :Offering advice to university students,I emphasize the importance of perseverance and resilience in the face of challenges. Despite the impact of war, I believe in the strength of the Sudanese people to overcome adversity and build a new, united country.

Q9: Regarding the causes of the war in Sudan,I see it as an absurd conflict between short-sighted individuals with no clear political, economic, or social agendas.

A10 : I remain optimistic that Sudanese people will emerge from the war stronger and more united, ready to rebuild their nation.
Besides, I suggest correcting mistakes and addressing the underlying issues that fuel the conflict. envisions a Sudan where the people can come together, heal, and build a more prosperous future.
