Minnawi meets Kenyan President

Leader of Sudan Liberation Army/Movement (SLAM), head of the Freedom and Change (Democratic Bloc), Mini Arko Minnawi met the Kenyan President William Ruto in Nairobi.
The meeting discussed in detail the roots of the Sudanese crisis, the humanitarian, political and security consequences of the ongoing war, besides the necessity of unifying and coordinating the regional and international efforts through an agreed on mechanism and supporting Jeddah Forum to strike a ceasefire deal for humanitarian purposes.
The meeting also discussed the formation of joint monitoring mechanisms to pave the for a comprehensive political process.
For his part, the Kenyan President affirmed the continuation of his government in its endeavors to stop war besides coordination of the regional and international initiatives.
