Report: the Citizen
Leading figure of the FFC – Central Council and the official spokesman for the political process in Sudan, Eng. Khalid Omer , said in an interview with Al-Jazeera yesterday, , that the main tasks of the next transitional government are:
- Solving the living hardship.
- Addressing the security situation.
- Start preparing for the elections.
We fully support giving the solution to the living hardship a priority, because we have repeatedly called on the political elites to do so, because Sudan’s natural resources can make the difference to allow the citizens enjoy prosperous life unlike the currently sufferings from hardships.
When the political process identified five topics, and began to discuss them in workshops, and aimed at formulating them in five annexes to the final agreement, we expected an annex to solve the living hardship, and giving it priority. but that did not happen.
But now is seems that they realized that the workshops did not address the concerns of the majority of citizens and their daily suffering, so they corrected the path again by giving priority, to solve the hardship of living.
We support this, because it makes competition between political entities to solve the living hardship, and whoever has the best programs and visions, in that regard, will be supported by the masses, now and in any future elections.
