Sudanese Secondary School Certificate Exam set in 10th of June

The Minister of Education, Mahmoud Sir Al-Khatim Al-Houri, has announced the change of date of holding the Sudanese Secondary Shcool Certificate’s exams from May, 27 to June 10, 2023, so that the states can work on completing the curriculum at an appropriate time.

The Minister of Education made the remarks during his speech at the Weekly Talk Forum organized by the Spokesperson’s Department of the Ministry of Culture and Information.

Al-Houri stressed that the decision taken after a study and discussion with the exam setting committee, which was formed after the completion of the correction process of previous exams, and the states were addressed to find out the coverage of curriculum for the third grade and hence the postponement decision was issued.

He called on teachers to unite visions and efforts so as to overcome differences for the sake of the Sudanese student, referring to the educational process in the past years faced many challenges that caused the delay of study for long and sporadic periods, adding that the ministry worked to face the challenges and seek to secure the educational process in Sudan.

He pointed out that the ministry aims to provide a quality, equitable and flexible education, saying that the strategic goal is to provide a comprehensive and equitable education based on scientific development and ensure that basic needs are met and eliminate gender discrimination, as well as free education

The Minister of Education stressed the importance of training the teacher and there are continuous endeavors to return school competitions so that students are distracted from the bad habits that have become practiced now.

Al-Houri stated that the ministry has distributed the textbook in all states of Sudan with the new curriculum from the first to the fifth grade and that the teacher training plan is of the ministry’s priorities for the upcoming period.
