Moscow Ambassador: Sudan can supply Russia cotton, food additives and fruit

MOSCOW, March 12:

In an interview with RIA Novosti, Sudan’s Ambassador to Russia Mohammed Elghazali Eltijani Sirraja said that Sudan wants to increase its trade turnover with Russia, that the country can supply cotton, food additives and fruit to Russian markets.

“Today, I think our trade turnover is not at a desirable level, its increase will positively affect both Russia and Sudan. Sudan can supply Russia with cotton, gum arabic (used as a food additive). one of the biggest manufacturers,” said Sirraja.

He added that Sudan can provide quality fruit to Russia in different seasons.

Sirraja, said that after the transfer of power to a civilian government, Sudan could discuss with the US and the World Bank the issue of not freezing international aid.

“Negotiations continue to resolve the political crisis in Sudan, including the transfer of power to the state-led civilian authorities in the country. “The US and the World Bank will solve this money,” said Sirraja.

Following the change of power in Sudan in October 2021, the United States froze financial aid to Sudan, and later the World Bank announced that it was suspending aid to the country.
