Results of investigation on incidents of Bileel announced
The head of the investigation committee of the incidents at Bileel area, Maulana Ehab Mohammed Al-Taj, announced the results of the final investigation and the indictment of 89 people and 68 persons will be pursued by the regular organs.
Maulana Ehab Mohammed Al-Taj, indicated during the public meeting in the town of “Amuri” , state of South Darfur, in the presence of the Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Mohammed Hamdan Daglo, Council member Dr. Al-Hadi Idris Yahya, the Attorney General and the Minister of Justice, as well as representatives of the statutory apparatus.
That the investigative committee confirmed that the investigations included hearing the testimonies of the citizens of the affected villages, the testimonies of a local security committee at Bileel, the families of the victims and the injured in hospitals, as well as the results of criminal evidence and police investigations, pointing to the filing of 416 criminal report by the Dajo tribe, and 2 reports from Al- Rizeigat tribe, with the confirmation of death of 14 and the injury of 18 persons from both sides.
The head of the investigation committee noted that 17 villages were burned by two outlaws from the Rizeigat tribe, and two outlaws from most of the tribes of the neighboring villages intervened, as well as the movement of some armed movement vehicles in the area of the incidents, while two cases of killing of two individuals affiliated with the police and the Rapid Support Forces were recorded.
The investigation committee attributed the aggravation of the incidents to the failure of the State Security Committee to act to stop it, in addition to the slow movements of the local authorities at night and the weakness of the police force present in the locality, in addition to the existence of disputes within the civil administration of the Dajo tribe between the Sultan and some mayors due to the Sultan’s use of youth and the movements personells to secure the agricultural season and impose an amount of 200 thousand pounds for each village.
The investigation committee has recommended the need to continue the investigation in preparation for bringing the accused to court, as well as appointing of a joint force to carry out the task of arresting the accused, in addition to collecting weapons, four-wheel drive vehicles, and motorcycles, as well as the non-interference of the native administration in the security matter and control of the camps for the displaced to limit the participation of some of the outlaws present inside them in fueling conflicts, and to continue reconciliation programs.
