Al-Burhan and Mohamed bin Zayed hold joint talks

President of the United Arab Emirates His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and a number of officials in the UAE, received General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan Abdel Rahman, the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, and his accompanying delegation, at the Al-Bahr Palace in Abu Dhabi this evening.
The Sudanese side, led by the president of the TSC, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, who arrived Abu Dhabi this evening in an official visit, and the Emirati side, headed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, held a joint session of talks that dealt with the progress of the well-established and developed bilateral relations between Khartoum and Abu Dhabi, as well as aspects of joint cooperation in the various fields, and ways to promote it to serve the common interests of the peoples of the two countries.
The joint session also touched on a number of regional and international issues of common concern, during which General Al-Burhan provided review on the developments in the political situation in the country, after the signing of the framework agreement, especially the ongoing efforts to expand the base of participation, in preparation for the formation of a civilian government to lead the country during the remainder of the transitional period.
Gen. Al- Burhan has expressed appreciation to the UAE stances in support for the success of the transitional period, meanwhile, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, affirmed the UAE stance and support to the Sudan, expressing hope that the Sudanese people will be able to overcome the current crisis as soon as possible, and lead the country to a stage of stability and development.
