US$800 thousand approved to purchase 50 tractors for Gezira Scheme Farmers

Within the serious endeavors of Atrakya Group to provide the required funding to kick-off its activities, Gezira Scheme Governor, Dr. Omerr Mohamed Marzouq held a meeting with the Farmer’s Bank administration in the presence of the Chairman of Directors of Atrakya, Mr. Erdogan Oran, the General Manager of the company, Eng. Abdul Hadi Awad Osman and his deputy, Eng. Mohamed El-Tayeb Yassin.

The meeting discussed the financing opportunities of the Atrakya with the Famer’s Bank.

In this regard, the General Manager of Atrakya, Eng. Abdul Hadi Awad said the endeavors of the Board of Directors of the Company resulted to an agreement with the Farmer’s Bank to endorse US$800 thousand to purchase 50 tractors to be distributed to the farmers in the scheme with convenient banking terms along with the commitment of the bank to accept the crops’ production from the farmer against the financing in order to ease the pay-back for the farmers.
