Narcissistic Acts: How Narcissism is affecting politics in Sudan?!

Alaa Babiker
The idea of writing Narcissistic Acts is to reflect the negative acts, traditions, behaviors, and thoughts in a sarcastic way, with no bias and no affiliation to any side, party, or group. The one and only reason behind these series of articles is to stimulate the minds of our beloved readers and somehow assist them to look at the matter from a different angle. I believe that our minds are set and programmed in an incorrect way, and focusing at the health of our minds by thinking of everyday life behaviors would make life easier and would explain to us many unsolved issues that we experienced in the past or are experiencing at the moment. When having a matter of controversy or a personal suffering, it is important to look from outside not to think and solve from the inside, and this is what I will be writing about at this series of articles of Narcissistic Acts. At the end of each article an advice capsule will be inoculated at the end of each article to act as an additional positive energy dose.
Sudan is going through very difficult times, the phase of No presence of one united Agreement that we are witnessing currently is what makes everything even more complicated. Politics has always been very challenging to manage, as not all opinions would come on one side, this is when we speak of maximum 4 sides. But when we speak of more than 40 parties on the house, come on! There are more than 40 opinions, more that 40 persons compete to be the president, and more than 40 plans to be implemented on the ground. Poor Sudan!
Now let’s link the above information’s to narcissism, shall we. The definition of Narcissism as a disorder is (A disorder in which a person has an inflated sense of self-importance), could it be that all those people of different parties are having this self-importance?! Could they really be seeking to have a political “Position” at the head government?! An old saying tells that (a boat with two captains sinks), well we have around 40 Captains man! And we are still rolling! Backwards I mean!
Many people argue and fight about “The Position” they want to have “Or Steal” at government buildings. The Position that makes them ensure an excellent life style for them and their children inside of Sudan and out. The Position that makes one think of all the conspiracies and evil ideas to make The Other lose! This is not just it, they even hold on to The Chair even if they don’t understand a bit about how it operates! One question that has always been on my mind, why politicians these days with completely different backgrounds sit on and operate pure political chairs?! And for what?! And does this act considered as a Narcissistic one?! Why can’t we leave politics to real politicians, the ones who studied and practiced it for many years, who have recent knowledge and who are aware of politics and policy sciences and scenarios, those who have built the economic of other countries and still do. And I think it’s fair for everyone else at the end to have the right of voting. I hope!
Today you find a physician who is head of agriculture department! An engineer who is head of economic department! Please let the specialized persons head the departments of their specializations. Please unite, accept the other opinion, and let Sudan move forward.
