Al-Hadi Idris affirms calmness of security situation in Belail Locality

Member of the Sovereign Council Dr. El-Hadi Idris stated, in statements to the press Friday, that the visit of the Vice-President of the Sovereign Council and Commander of the Rapid Support Forces Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo to the state of South Darfur was for the inspection of the security and humanitarian situation in the state, especially in the Locality of Belail, which recently witnessed unfortunate events that claimed the lives of a dear citizen of the country. Dr. Idris explained that during the visit a series of meetings were held with the native administrations and businessmen, revealing that they expressed their willingness to provide support and assistance to those affected by the events in Belail region, pointing out that the meetings touched on the necessity of conducting a transparent and fair investigation to uncover those who are responsible for the incidents and holding them accountable, in addition to working for the return of the displaced who left the region, stressing the need to take measures and procedures to prevent the recurrence of such actions and stop the phenomenon of impunity. The member of the Sovereignty Council stressed the calmness of security conditions in the Belail region and the restoration of normal situation due to the efforts exerted by the state government, regular forces and native administrations, underlining the government’s keenness to extend the prestige of the state and the rule of law and its commitment to providing all services to citizens.
