NCR International Scientific Conference Discusses Papers on the Natural Riches of Medicinal Plants, Investment Potentials in Sudan
The National Center for Research (NCR) held its 11th International scientific conference in Khartoum to discuss papers by participant researchers on medicinal and aromatic plants.
By hosting this event, NCR provided a platform for parties concerned to come together and debate scientific papers on opportunities for investment and innovation in MAPs production, cosmetics, detergents, sterilizers, essential oils, etc.
The conferees explored opportunities for investment and innovation in MAPs production as well as domestic laws and regulations governing MAPs clinical trials, intellectual property rights, and drawing success lessons from other similar regions.
The participants further compared notes on various activities such as plants’ antimicrobial activities, plants with potential responses against Covid-19, antioxidants, and biotech research.
They also underscored the importance of natural wealth and plant biodiversity to explore new scientific advancements and development to encourage investment and innovation in the field of MAPs production and business.
Most importantly, the conferees recommended boosting forging national and international partnerships for MAPs’ sustainable development.
The National Center for Research (NCR) is concerned with organizing biennial scientific conferences on development and research. The center has so far managed to organize ten conferences on different research disciplines which drew national, regional, and international participation, producing fruitful scientific outcomes aimed at economic growth and the welfare of societies.
Blessed with a uniquely diverse environment and rich traditional knowledge, Sudan is considered among the rich countries in medicinal and aromatic plants with great potential to domesticate the herbal drug industry to boost its national economy.
The NCR 11th international scientific conference debated papers and explored the natural riches of medicinal plants as well as support for investment in research and studies on such plants in Sudan.
