Sakina Women and Girls Empowerment Centre Opens in Kosti Amid Official and Public Attendance

Kosti – White Nile State
The Sakina Women and Girls Empowerment Centre was officially inaugurated in Kosti, White Nile State, in a ceremony attended by a large gathering of government officials and members of the public.
The launch of this important development and service project comes as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen women’s roles, build their capacities and provide girls with the support they need to play an active and influential role in society.

The project was implemented through the commendable organisational efforts of the Sudanese Coalition for Education for All (SCEFA), in strategic partnership with UN Women, and with funding and support from the Government of Germany.
The Sakina Centre is expected to serve as a vital platform and supportive environment for a range of training and development programmes and activities.

These initiatives will directly contribute to improving the lives of women and girls, addressing their community needs and enhancing their opportunities for meaningful participation in sustainable development and community-building efforts across the state.
