Illegal Fee Collection Committee Reviews Challenges Facing Intercity Bus Operators in River Nile State

A technical committee tasked with preventing illegal fee collection has met with the River Nile State Intercity Bus Operators Chamber to discuss operational challenges and measures to address them.
The meeting was chaired by the committee’s head, Dr. Mohamed Al-Haj Adam, a legal consultant, and attended by the Chamber’s Secretary-General, Ismail Idris Ismail, as part of the committee’s visit to the state.
At the outset, Ismail briefed the committee on the Chamber’s operations and the challenges facing its work. He described the meeting as productive and commended the committee’s efforts, noting that the removal of several fee-collection points had helped resolve some of the problems facing bus operators.
He added that the meeting also discussed amendments to the law governing Atbara Land Port, noting that a committee had been formed to review and amend the legislation.
