The General Administration for Admission, Evaluation, and Certification at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced the opening of applications for admission to governmental and non-governmental higher education and scientific research institutions in Sudan for the 2026-2027 academic year, starting tomorrow, Thursday, September 17, 2026, and continuing until Saturday, September 26, in accordance with the announced regulations and procedures.
The General Administration of Admissions clarified that applications at this stage are limited to Sudanese students holding the Sudanese Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent from Arab and foreign certificates for the year 2026. It noted that applications are submitted electronically through the website of the General Administration of Admissions, Evaluation, and Certification of Certificates (admission.gov.sd). The Administration urged students to review the admission requirements and regulations, the guide to available opportunities, and the approved electronic payment methods on the website.
The Administration set the application fee for applicants within Sudan at 20,000 Sudanese pounds, while the application fee for Sudanese applicants from abroad is 200 US dollars, according to the Sudan News Agency.
Regarding holders of Arab and foreign certificates who were unable to complete the process of verifying their certificates, the Administration called on the concerned students to contact them urgently to complete the verification process and obtain the reference number required to apply to higher education institutions.
She explained that completing the verification process requires uploading a copy of the secondary school certificate, accredited by the Ministry of Education and National Training, via the tracking portal on the administration’s website. The original certificate and a copy, along with proof of identity, must be brought to the General Administration of Admissions in Khartoum. The original certificate will be returned to its owner immediately.
The General Administration of Admissions, Evaluation, and Certification emphasized the importance of adhering to the specified deadlines, regulations, and procedures, wishing all students success in their academic journey.
