Editorial: The Heroic Saga of Sudan School Certificate Exams

Ministry of National Education and Training announced, on Thursday, the overall results of the 2025-2026 secondary school certificate examinations, which included academic, technical, Quranic, and Islamic studies tracks.

There were 3,244 examination centers, with 570,252 registered students. A total of 558,837 students sat for the exams, of whom 388,738 passed, achieving a pass rate of 69.6%, compared to 68.5% the previous year.

Greetings to our young students who sat for the exams, congratulations to those who passed, and best of luck to those who gained experience and didn’t give up, so they may succeed next year, God willing.

The vast majority of our young students took their exams surrounded by the effects of war; some are refugees, others displaced, and still others whose families are struggling with hardship. Therefore, those who remain successful in these circumstances are those who strengthen their resolve to overcome this stage next year.

Regardless, the announcement of the exam results from Khartoum, which saw a significant increase in the number of candidates, represents another victory, adding to the armed forces’ triumphs on various battlefronts. It also reinforces the stability and recovery the country is experiencing.
