Rapid Support Forces Leaders Leave El Geneina

Field sources reported that Major General Idris Hassan, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) commander Karshoum, Major General Abdelrahman Juma, and Ambelo left El Geneina, West Darfur, for Nyala, South Darfur. This followed the arrival of advance units from the Darfur forces of the Sudanese Armed Forces, the Joint Force, and the Popular Support Forces in the town of Kulbus yesterday, a development that disrupted the militia leadership’s plans.

According to the sources, Idris Hassan was transferred to the Al-Daman Hospital in Nyala after suffering a severe health crisis characterized by a significant spike in blood pressure and blood sugar levels. This occurred after the surprise attack launched by the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Joint Force on militia positions in West Darfur, which led to widespread confusion within their ranks.

Field data indicates that the departure of the four leaders from Al-Geniena came as part of an urgent repositioning, following the rapid advance of the armed forces on the western axis, and their control over strategic areas during the past hours.
