Minnawi: The Return of Theater Means the Return of Life to Khartoum

Darfur Governor and Head of the Sudan Liberation Army Movement, Minni Arko Minnawi, affirmed that the return of theater represents the return of life to the capital.
He emphasized that culture, arts, and poetry contribute to revitalizing society and consolidating the values ​​of peaceful coexistence and national unity.

This came during his reception today (Thursday) in Khartoum of a delegation from the “Ibhar for Literature, Arts, and Children’s Theater” Foundation, which he honored in recognition of its contributions to supporting the Sudanese National Theater and children’s theater, and its participation in rehabilitating the theater by providing chairs and lighting systems, which contributed to the resumption of its cultural activities.

Minnawi welcomed the delegation, stressing that supporting cultural and artistic institutions is a national duty, and that the rehabilitation of the theater comes within the framework of contributing to the restoration of normal life and strengthening the role of culture in building peace and social cohesion.

For his part, the head of the “Ibhar” Foundation explained that honoring Commander Minnawi comes within a program to honor a number of national symbols and national figures, in appreciation of their contributions to supporting culture and arts, noting that his support for the Sudanese National Theatre had a clear impact on restoring life to this cultural edifice and enabling it to resume its artistic mission.
