Minister of Higher Education Commends Stability of Academic Activities at El Daein University

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Ahmed Madawi Musa, reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening academic stability at El Daein University, praising the efforts of the university administration and the Academic Council in ensuring the continuity and regularity of the academic process. He also emphasized the Ministry’s strong commitment to advancing digital transformation across higher education institutions.
The Minister directed the university administration to submit its requirements for digital transformation tools and infrastructure to the Ministry’s Digital Transformation Committee for consideration under the Ministry’s plan to enhance the digital capacity of universities.
For his part, the Director of El Daein University, Professor Ali Younis Bireima, presented a comprehensive report on the university’s academic and administrative performance. He noted that the university’s administrative structure has been fully completed and that the academic calendar is progressing as scheduled. Classes will conclude on 31 July, examinations will begin on 1 August, and the examination period will end on 19 August.
Professor Bireima further stated that the university currently has no students studying outside Sudan. The university enrolls approximately 9,800 students across its various faculties and academic programs, with four cohorts in each department. Students are currently being hosted at Karari University and Imam Al Mahdi University.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Minister expressed his appreciation to the university administration and faculty members for their steadfast support of their students and for creating a conducive environment that has enabled the continuation of academic activities.
