Medical Supplies Corporation Launches First Training Workshop on ePMIS Implementation in Health Facilities Across 12 States

The National Medical Supplies Fund launched on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, the first specialized practical training workshop on the use of the Electronic Pharmaceutical Management Information System (ePMIS) in health facilities, as part of its efforts to promote digital transformation, enhance institutional performance efficiency, and improve the quality of logistical and administrative services.
The workshop is part of the implementation of the Five-Year Strategy for Response, Recovery, and Reform of the National Medical Supply System, which aims to complete the full digitalization of the medical supply chain (End-to-End Digitalization of the Supply Chain), contributing to the development of pharmaceutical supply systems, improving information management, and strengthening evidence-based decision-making.
The opening session was attended by Federal Minister of Health Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, representatives of the senior management of the National Medical Supplies Fund, and several health sector leaders. The ePMIS system is considered one of the modern tools for pharmaceutical information management, enabling integration of processes within health facilities, improving inventory and medical supply management efficiency, and providing accurate data to support planning and evidence-based decisions.
The workshop targets pharmacists and health facility staff from 20 hospitals, 10 HIV treatment centers, and 10 tuberculosis treatment centers across 12 states, in addition to reporting officers from branches of the National Medical Supplies Fund.
The Director General of the Fund, Dr. Badr Al-Din Al-Jazouli, affirmed that the workshop marks the beginning of a series of training programs that will continue in the coming period to cover all health facilities across the states, reinforcing digital transformation and enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of medical supply services in Sudan.
