Higher Education Minister Pledges Improved Welfare for University Staff

Sudan’s Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Ahmed Madawi Musa, met with leaders of the Sudan Workers’ Trade Union Federation and the Higher Education Workers’ Union to discuss ways to improve the welfare of university employees.

The Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting university staff, announcing progress toward resolving pension issues and endorsing the establishment of a dedicated Higher Education Hospital, with branches across the states, to provide better healthcare services for university employees and their families.

Union representatives also highlighted ongoing efforts to enhance health insurance and improve social and professional welfare for higher education workers.
