Hemedti and 15 members of the RSF sentenced to death by hanging

The Anti-Terrorism and Crimes Against the State Court issued a death sentence in absentia against Rapid Support Forces commander Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo “Hemedti” and 15 other members of the Rapid Support Forces in connection with the killing of West Darfur Governor Khamis Abakar and other violations, after convicting them of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide.

The court also ordered the confiscation of all Rapid Support Forces funds and assets in favor of the Sudanese government and requested Interpol to arrest the convicts and hand them over for execution.
