A delegation from SFPA visits River Nile State
A federal delegation, headed by Mr. Al-Shafi’i Muhammad Ali, Executive Director of Sudan Family Planning Association (SFPA), and including directors of specialized departments at the headquarters, began a visit today in Atbara to River Nile State. This visit marks the start of the Association’s technical supervision program for six of its main branches in the states, namely River Nile, Khartoum, Gezira, Sennar, Blue Nile, and White Nile.
The delegation was received by Ms. Kawthar Muhammad Ibrahim, the Association’s Executive Director in River Nile State, and her assistants.
During the meeting, Mr. Al-Shafi’i emphasized that these visits are part of inspection tours to the states to assess performance and explore ways to improve it. He noted that these visits to the states will focus on reviewing the extent to which the states are implementing the Association’s guiding principles. He explained that the visit to River Nile State will last for three days, during which the branch’s capabilities will be strengthened to implement compliance policies governing the association’s work and to ensure its adherence to the regulations and systems regulating the association’s operations in all aspects.
Mr. Salah Al-Jailani, Director of the Media and Behavior Change Department at the association, announced in a press statement that the association’s leadership delegation, headed by the Executive Director, will review performance reports from the various departments in Atbara and present its vision for improving it. He indicated that during the visit, the health sector’s performance and service delivery points will be reviewed, the readiness of the staff will be confirmed, the association’s assets will be inventoried and a system for registering them will be established, and the programs and activities of youth and community leaders, the reporting and referral system, and the strengthening of partnerships will be emphasized.
He added that the program of visits to the states will continue until August 21st, and that the work of the association’s branches in the states is proceeding in accordance with the association’s governing compliance policies. He announced that after River Nile State, the association’s leadership delegation will visit Khartoum State and then travel to the remaining relevant states.
