The National Civil Service Selection Commission and the Zakat Bureau Hold a Press Conference in Partnership with Nilein University
The National Civil Service Selection Commission and the General Secretariat of the Zakat Bureau, in partnership with Nilein University, held a press conference yesterday afternoon, Monday, June 29, 2026, regarding positions within the Zakat Bureau. The conference took place at the Nilein University administration building in Khartoum, and was attended by the Director of Nilein University, Professor Al-Hadi Adam; the Secretary-General of the National Civil Service Selection Commission, Mr. Mutasim Hajo Al-Ubaid; the Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Zakat Bureau, Dr. Yahya Ahmed Abdullah Al-Qamrawi; the Vice-Director of the University, Professor Khalid Abdulrahman Al-Sayed; and a number of academic and administrative officials from the three institutions, as well as media representatives.
The Secretary-General of the Zakat Chamber, Dr. Yahya Ahmed Abdullah Al-Qamrawi, affirmed during a press conference that the Zakat Chamber aims to demonstrate its commitment to being a responsible institution that respects laws and regulations. He stated that the Chamber has fulfilled its obligations by appointing seven hundred employees, emphasizing the importance of continuity and development through the recruitment of new staff and entry-level personnel.
Dr. Yahya Ahmed added that partnerships are among the most important factors in the success of various institutions, and this particular partnership with the Commission and Nilein University is a valuable one, as each plays a role in society. He described the partnership as fruitful and beneficial.
He further stated that the Zakat Chamber is an institution that strives for justice. Just as Zakat is collected according to Sharia principles and with complete fairness, so too is the recruitment process for employees at the Zakat Chamber conducted with complete fairness, based on criteria that distinguish those with the necessary qualifications.
In the same context, the Secretary-General of the National Civil Service Selection Commission, Mr. Mu’tasim Hajo Al-Ubaid Al-Amin, confirmed that the Zakat Chamber had submitted a request to the Commission for seven hundred positions. The Commission subsequently opened these positions to candidates with secondary and university degrees. The university positions encompass seven specializations: Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Law, Psychology, Computer Science, Social Development, and positions related to Da’wah (Islamic outreach) and guidance. It is worth noting that 29,000 people applied after the application period was opened to ensure greater diligence and transparency, in accordance with the state’s directives to select the most qualified and trustworthy candidates.
For his part, Professor Al-Hadi Adam, Director of Nilein University, expressed his gratitude for Nilein University being chosen to host the selection commission examinations for the Zakat Bureau positions. He emphasized that the university is open to all governmental and private institutions, offering its facilities and resources, as the primary objective of establishing the university is to serve the community, and it is based on extensive experience in examination administration.
