Minnawi Calls for quintet Mechanism to Visit Khartoum

Darfur, Governor Minni Arko Minnawi, announced that he held a high-level meeting with the European Union delegation at the EU headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, today. This meeting was part of diplomatic efforts aimed at exploring ways to end the current Sudanese crisis and support the country’s stability.

Unifying the Tracks of the National Dialogue in Sudan

Minnawi revealed that the meeting addressed several pivotal and fundamental issues, most importantly how to unify all tracks of the comprehensive national dialogue within Sudan. This aims to ensure a unified vision that contributes to ending the armed conflict, establishing security, and fulfilling the aspirations of the Sudanese people for political, social, and economic stability.

Minnawi added that he had extended a formal written invitation to the international “quintet Mechanism” to visit the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, as soon as possible, with the aim of gaining firsthand insight into the humanitarian, political, and security developments in Sudan, and activating international support for national efforts.
