Minister of Minerals Discusses Investment Opportunities with Saudi-Pakistani “Shahd Al Safa” Company Delegation

The Minister of Minerals, Nour Al-Daim Taha, received today at the ministry headquarters the Chairman of the Pakistani Investors Forum, the General Manager of the Saudi-Pakistani company Shahd Al Safa, and the accompanying delegation.

The meeting was held as part of the ministry’s efforts to promote investment and attract foreign capital to Sudan’s mining sector.
The discussions focused on investment opportunities available in Sudan’s minerals sector.

The delegation expressed its interest in entering investment projects within the sector, taking advantage of Sudan’s promising mineral resources and the significant opportunities for economic cooperation between Sudan, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Minister Nour Al-Daim Taha emphasized the importance of strengthening economic and investment partnerships with investors from Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, highlighting the deep brotherly relations that Sudan enjoys with both countries. He noted that these strong ties provide a solid foundation for expanding cooperation in various economic fields, particularly in the mining sector.

The Minister explained that both parties agreed to hold technical meetings between specialists from the Ministry of Minerals and Shahd Al Safa Company to discuss investment opportunities in exploration, production, and gold refinery projects. He noted that the company possesses extensive expertise in this field, in addition to owning a gold refinery with a production capacity of 350 kilograms.

Minister Nour Al-Daim Taha reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to providing an attractive investment environment by simplifying procedures and offering the necessary facilities to investors in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

He also stressed the ministry’s readiness to cooperate fully with investors and remove any obstacles facing investment projects, thereby contributing to the development of the mining sector and supporting the national economy.
