Minister of Higher Education: Return of universities to their original campuses signals Sudan’s recovery and stability

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Ahmed Mudawi Musa, has praised the efforts made by the administration of Al-Razi University to complete the necessary arrangements for returning to its main campus in Al-Azhari area south of Khartoum, and resuming full academic activities. This comes as part of the state’s implementation of the decision requiring higher education and research institutions to return to their original premises.

This was stated during a field visit conducted by the minister to the university, accompanied by Dr. Abdulqader Mohammed Hassan, Director General of the Department of Private, Foreign, and National Higher Education, and Dr. Osman Munawil Galab, Acting Executive Office Director at the ministry. The delegation was received by Professor Ahmed Osman Rizq, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, along with a number of deans and department heads.

The minister reviewed the level of preparations and arrangements made by the university to receive students and resume academic activities from within the campus, stressing that the return of higher education institutions to their natural locations is a top priority for the ministry in the coming phase. Mudawi Musa noted that field indicators observed during his ongoing visits to higher education institutions confirm that Khartoum State is steadily moving toward full recovery, pointing out that the capital is witnessing growing activity in service, education, and economic sectors, reflecting the level of security and social stability achieved.

The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al-Razi University, Professor Ahmed Osman Rizq, confirmed the university’s readiness to receive its students and continue the educational process from its main campus, noting the completion of the technical, administrative, and academic arrangements necessary to ensure stable studies in the coming period.
