Khartoum Acting Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism Visits Sudanese Red Crescent

The Acting Minister and Director General of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism in Khartoum State, Al-Tayeb Saad Al-Din, paid a visit on Thursday to the headquarters of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society – Khartoum State Branch, where he met with the branch director, Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Ali. The visit came within the framework of the media partnership between the Ministry and the Society.
Saad Al-Din expressed the appreciation of the Governor of Khartoum State and members of the state government for the distinguished roles and initiatives undertaken by the Sudanese Red Crescent during the war period as well as throughout the recovery and reconstruction phase. He commended the Society’s contributions to humanitarian and health-related activities and its efforts in identifying and supporting vulnerable groups.
The Minister noted that the Sudanese Red Crescent’s experience in training and capacity-building should be expanded to better prepare young men and women to face future challenges. He stressed that the experience of war should serve as an important opportunity to review preparedness measures and equip youth with the skills needed to respond to emergencies, particularly in the areas of public services, health emergencies, and environmental issues.
Saad Al-Din also announced a partnership with the Sudanese Red Crescent Society – Khartoum State Branch to organize a specialized training course on the use of artificial intelligence in media content production. He explained that AI technologies can significantly reduce time, effort, and costs while generating innovative ideas that enable content creators to perform tasks traditionally requiring a full production company. He emphasized, however, that such technologies should complement rather than replace human creativity and the unique talents and skills bestowed upon individuals.
Dr. Mohammed Abdullah, Director of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society – Khartoum State Branch, reviewed the Society’s activities and its longstanding partnership with the Khartoum State Government. He highlighted the Society’s close coordination with the Ministry of Social Development, the Humanitarian Aid Commission, and local authorities in planning and implementing humanitarian programs.
Dr. Abdullah expressed his appreciation for the partnership with the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism, particularly in promoting and publicizing the Society’s activities and collaborating in advanced media training initiatives. He affirmed the Society’s readiness to support and ensure the success of workshops and training programs targeting volunteers, youth, and professionals engaged in producing meaningful content that keeps pace with rapid technological developments in the media sector.
