Farini Inspects Social Development Institutions in Khartoum

Director General of the Ministry of Social Development in Khartoum State and Acting Minister, Sediq Hassan Farini,conducted an extensive inspection tour of the ministry’s institutions and facilities.

He was accompanied during the tour by representatives of the Social Development Administration, the Financial and Administrative Affairs Departments, the General Administration of Services, the General Administration of Social Welfare, the Hayat Center for Psychological and Social Treatment and Rehabilitation, and the Media and Public Relations Department.

During the visit, he directed the immediate commencement of maintenance and rehabilitation work on the ministry’s institutions and affiliated facilities, as well as the improvement of their working environment.

Farini emphasized that the objective of the tour was to prepare these institutions for full utilization and restore their operations to full capacity. He noted that community recovery begins with restoring the ministry’s institutions to their role in society, as their absence during the past period created a significant gap in welfare services, protection programs, and psychological and social support.

He further affirmed that all the ministry’s resources and efforts would be directed toward reactivating social centers, agencies, and councils affiliated with the ministry so that they can effectively carry out their responsibilities in rehabilitation, training, counseling, and awareness-raising for targeted groups and beneficiaries.
