Burhan Inspects Al-Rutj Area in Red Sea State
Head of the Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, inspected the Al-Rutj area in Red Sea State. He was accompanied by the Governor of Red Sea State, Lieutenant General Mustafa Mohamed Nour Mahmoud, and Lieutenant General Mahjoub Bushra, Commander of the Red Sea Military Region.
During his address to citizens, dignitaries, and leaders of the area, he emphasized the national principles aimed at establishing security, achieving stability, and unifying ranks to confront current challenges.
Al-Burhan praised the significant national role played by the Busharia and Rashaida tribes, who provide a model of commendable peaceful coexistence. He noted that Sudan is a homeland that embraces all its components, which have contributed to its development.
His Excellency praised the pivotal role of traditional leadership in strengthening the social fabric and establishing the values of tolerance and peaceful coexistence, noting that citizenship is the foundation that unites all the people of Sudan across the various states.
He said, “Our primary objective at this stage is to combat the enemy, which requires national unity and concerted efforts to repel any external aggression. We will not allow those lying in wait to infiltrate our ranks to sow discord and destruction.”
He reiterated the Armed Forces and the government’s firm resolve to combat all forms of security breaches, collect unlicensed weapons, and hold accountable anyone who extorts citizens or threatens their security.
He added, “The state will not allow any individual or entity to take the law into their own hands or seize rights outside the legal framework, and they will be dealt with decisively.”
He said, “We affirm our full appreciation and respect for our neighboring countries (to the north and east), and we call upon all citizens not to move towards the borders to incite any problems.” He added, “The government has been following with concern the reports of some problems on the border,” stressing that the government is fully responsible for the care and protection of its citizens and will conduct the necessary investigations into these incidents.
Al-Burhan affirmed that the government will work urgently to regulate local markets and formalize the mining sector in the region to ensure the optimal utilization of its resources, emphasizing its full support for the region, given its vast potential and resources that represent a fundamental pillar of the national economy.
