Dr. Amjad Farid, said that the fascist practices of the Rapid Support Forces militia on the ground have given the Sudanese people sufficient justification to judge them without the need for foreign guardianship or classifications. He cited the militia’s history since its inception in 2013 as a tool to protect the former regime.

Farid praised the firm and early stance of the Sudanese army leadership, which opposed the integration and legalization of the militia within the state apparatus. He reviewed the cost of this patriotic position, which included the removal and dismissal of prominent military and security leaders due to pressure exerted by the Rapid Support Forces leadership on the presidency at the time.

The advisor emphasized that confronting the remnants of the old regime and the slogans of the revolution necessarily entails confronting the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), considering them a creation and true extension of that regime. He called for directing efforts toward figures loyal to the militia today, such as Ibrahim al-Mirghani, Taha Osman, and Hasabo Abdel Rahman.

Farid exposed the falsehood of claims attempting to link the national army to al-Bashir’s regime, explaining that the military institution’s long history of nationalism, dating back to 1924, refutes this falsehood. He asserted that the RSF represents the de facto guardian that al-Bashir clung to in order to protect his position.
